A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 11:20am-1:50pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 59 children in the direct care and supervision of 12 staff members. A complete inspection of the facility was conducted. A sample size of 5 staff records, 6 children's records, 1 emergency medication, 2 diaper ointments, evacuation drills, emergency materials, and the first aid kit were reviewed. The children were observed eating lunch, writing in Arabic, and having circle time.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
