Technical Assistance:
It was discussed with the provider that they need to ensure the assistant arrives before there are more than 16 points worth of children in care.
Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 8/19/2022 and concluded on 8/19/2022. There were a total of 10 children (30 points) observed with 2 caregivers present. The children were engaged in the following: toy play, reading, and other organized activities. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, personnel and household members, physical environment, care of children, handwashing, diapering, medication, emergencies and nutrition. A total of 10 child records and 2 caregiver/household member records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on file review, the provider did not annually review the emergency contact information with the parent.

Description:
Based on observation, soiled diapers and wipes were not disposed of in a storage system that was foot operated or used in such a way that neither the caregiver's hand nor the soiled diaper or wipe touched the exterior surface of the storage system during disposal.
Plan of Correction:
Provider will purchase a foot operated trashcan for the disposal of soiled diapers and wipes.
