Observed that there was one child awake and sitting at a table at the time of the inspection. The provider stated that the parents asked that the child be kept awake and not be allowed to nap. Explained to the provider that any child that wishes to rest, must be allowed to rest, and that withholding rest or the ability to nap was a prohibited action. The child must be allowed to follow their own natural sleep routine.

An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted on 12/20/2023 at 12:21pm to 1:06pm. There were 4 children (8 points) directly supervised by 1 caregiver. The home, one caregiver record, 4 children's records, 2 household member's records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed resting and/or napping on their cots. There was an abundant supply of books, toys, and materials for the children. The home was clean and organized. Areas of non-compliance are identified in this report.
