Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on November 25, 2019 from approximately 3:20 pm to 4:45 pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. Upon arrival to the facility, there were three staff present with 39 children. The following was reviewed: indoor and outdoor areas, administration, medication, emergency supplies and procedures, required postings. Five children's records were reviewed. Five medications were reviewed. Information required to be maintained on site and training were reviewed for the three staff present. A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based on documentation reviewed and staff interview, the vendor did not ensure that the emergency preparedness plan had been updated to include all required procedural components.
Evidence: The Recreation Center Supervisor confirmed that the center's emergency preparedness plan did not include continuity of operations procedures to ensure that essential functions are maintained during an emergency
Plan of Correction:
I will add the procedure to the emergency preparedness plan.
