A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 03/01/2024 from 6:40am to 7:20am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 9 children ages 6 years to age 10 years old supervised by 4 staff. The physical plant, programming, attendance, menus, 5 staff records, 3 children?s records, 8 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies and policies were reviewed. Children were observed participating in gross motor activities, board games, art and reading. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
