Reminder that all staff files at the corporate office contain staff's emergency contact information, job title, documentation of annual training and a copy of staffs high school diploma or the equivalent or documentation of higher education.
Comments:
Four staff files were reviewed at corporate office today from 9: 30 am to 5: 30 pm.
Please submit documentation of the out of state central registry finding or that you have sent off for the background check for Staff A and B by 2/7/20.
Based on a review of four staff files and an interview with corporate office staff, it was determined that two staff did not have an out of state child abuse and neglect search,which must be requested by the 30th day of employment and checking on the status 45 days after requesting the search. Evidence: Staff A was hired on 7/17/19 and the Florida out of state check was sent off but the center failed to check on the status of the background check 45 days thereafter. Staff B was hired on 4/16/19 and there was no information that the background check was requested within 30 days of employment.
Plan of Correction:
We will check on the status of these background checks and if needed send off for them.
