An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today with the director, who was present with 2 additional staff and 34 children. The inspection took place from 4:20 to 5:10 pm. The ages of the children ranged from 5 to 11 years. The children had arrived from outside and were washing their hands at the beginning of the inspection, they were then given snack, which consisted of cheese, orange slices and water. Afterward, the children washed their hands and transitioned into quiet time.
The children appeared very familiar with the daily schedule and the transition from one thing to the other appeared seamless.
Five staff and six children's files were reviewed today. Medications for 8 children were inspected as well as 3 injury/accident reports. There were no areas of non-compliance observed during this inspection.
