A Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 10/19/2023 from 6:00am to 6:50am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 7 children ages 5 years old to age 11 years old supervised by 3 staff. The physical plant, programming, attendance, menus, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, 17 medications with corresponding authorization records, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies and policies were reviewed. Children were observed participating in art, building activities, card games and snack. There was an adequate number of staff present with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT), CPR and First Aid, and Daily Health Observation (DHO) training. There were no areas of non-compliance observed during the inspection.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. No violations of the supplemental subsidy health and safety requirements were found.
