Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted 4/20/2023 from 6:55am through 7:30am. There were 12 children directly supervised by 2 staff. The physical plant, programming, menus, 2 staff records, 5 children?s records, 6 medications, emergency drills, injury reports, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed playing a social skills game and practicing American Sign Language. Positive interactions between children and staff were observed during this inspection. There was an adequate supply of age appropriate materials for the children. The center was clean and organized. There was an adequate number of CPR/First Aid, Daily Health Observation, and MAT trained staff on site at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on record review, the center did not obtain a written care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and the steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction.

Evidence: Child #4 has a diagnosed food allergy and did not have a written care plan signed by a physician on site at the time of inspection.
