Comments:
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with a monitoring inspection from 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. There were 18 children in care being supervised by 5 staff members. Seven children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Staff records were reviewed for completion of CPR, First Aid, and Virginia Pre-Service Training. An allergy list was reviewed for children with diagnosed food allergies. Allergy care plans were reviewed for children with diagnosed food allergies. Based on review of the allergy list and children's records it was determined that not all children who had diagnosed food allergies had an allergy care plan on file. Evidence: Child A and child B was documented on the allergy list as having a diagnosed food allergy. There was no allergy care plan on file for child A or child B.
Plan of Correction:
Administration will request an allergy care plan from the parents of child A and child B.
