Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 5:30 pm - 6:15 pm. There were 25 children in care being supervised by 5 staff. The children were observed playing outdoors. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of six child records and two staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on interviews and review of six children's records it was determined that not all children with diagnosed food allergies had an allergy care plan on file as required. Evidence: Child A is identified on the center's allergy list as having a diagnosed food allergy. Child A does not have a written allergy care plan on file as required.
Plan of Correction:
An allergy care plan will be requested from the parents of child A.

Description:
Based on review of medication it was determined that not all medication was sent home within 14 days when the medication authorization form expires. Evidence: The medication authorization form for child B expired August 2023. The medication for child B was still in the center's medication box.
Plan of Correction:
A new medication authorization form will be requested from the parents of child B.
