Written documentation that the individual possess the education and experience required by the job position also needs to be included in all staff records.
Consultation provided regarding 22 VAC 40-185-240, staff training and development. Please ensure that program directors and staff who work directly with children shall complete 16 hours of annual training. Documentation needs to be available during inspections

A file review of staff files was conducted at AlphaBEST's main office in Woodbridge on 1/22/2020 with the assistance of Sharon Allen, Shawanda Henderson, Keesha Minor and Cathy Aylor. Based on review, the facility did not ensure that they obtained copy of the results of a search of the central registry maintained and any child abuse registry or equivalent registry maintained by any other state in which the individual has resided in the preceding five years for any founded complaint of child abuse or neglect against "them". Evidence: Reviewed 4 staff files and found that Staff 4 did not have documentation of a search results of their out of state central registry.
Plan of Correction:
A copy of the central registry report will be obtained by Human Resources.
