Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted with the director on February 7, 2024, beginning at 4:00 p.m. and ending at 4:45 p.m. There were 22 school-aged children in the direct care of 4 staff. The children were observed finishing snack, handwashing, and playing outside on the playground. Five children?s records were reviewed and in compliance. Three staff records were reviewed and in compliance. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery-operated radio were observed and in compliance. One medication was reviewed and in compliance. The menu, daily attendance, and emergency drill log were reviewed. The most recent evacuation drill was documented as 2/1/2024. The most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented as 11/27/2023. The most recent lockdown drill was documented as 1/31/2024. The most recent health inspection was dated 9/12/2023. The most recent fire inspection was dated 2/24/2023.

Based on observation, not all hazardous substances were kept in a locked place using a safe locking method that prevents access by children. Evidence: There were two bottles of cleaning supplies (spray disinfectant and sanitizer) on top of the cabinet near the door of the staff office.
Plan of Correction:
Staff stated that they would obtain a box to secure the cleaning supplies in when they are not in use.
