Consultation provided on emergency medication compliance and the need to better organize the children's files.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today with the director, who was present with a second staff and fifteen schoolagers The inspection took place from 4:20 pm to 5:20 pm. The children were outside on the playground at the beginning of the inspection. Upon coming inside, they engaged in homework/quiet time. Two staff files and six children's files were reviewed. There were no medications on site and there have been no injuries/accidents this schoolyear. Two children had diagnosed food allergies and their allergy care plans were reviewed. The area of non compliance was outlined on the violation notice.
Based on observation, it was determined that hazardous substances were unlocked and accessible to the children. Evidence: The Licensing Inspector observed a bottle of sanitizing spray on the table at the front entrance, the spay was unlocked and in reach of children.
Plan of Correction:
The spray was locked during the inspection.
