Comments:
An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted in conjunction with a monitoring inspection from 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m. There were 20 children in care being supervised by 2 staff members. Six children's records were reviewed. Staff records were reviewed for completion of CPR, First Aid, and Virginia Pre-Service Training. An allergy list was reviewed for children enrolled with diagnosed food allergies. Allergy care plans were reviewed. Based on review of six children's records and the food allergy list it was determined that not all children with diagnosed food allergies had documentation of an Allergy Care Plan on file. Evidence: Child A and Child B were documented on the allergy list as having a diagnosed food allergy. There was no allergy care plan on file for child A and child B.
Plan of Correction:
Administration will request an allergy care plan from the parents of child A and Child B.
