An unannounced Subsidy Health and Safety Inspection (SHSI) was conducted on 11/13/23 from 6:40am to 7:30am in conjunction with a monitoring inspection (see that inspection report for details). The two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Three staff records were reviewed for documentation of the mandatory Virginia Preservice Training, Health & Safety Update training, and current certification in First Aid and CPR. The staff reported that there were no children currently enrolled with diagnosed food allergies, but they are aware of the requirement for allergy care plans if a child with a diagnosed allergy was to enroll. The last lockdown drill was documented on 9/29/23.
