Comments:
A monitoring inspection was conducted on 09/27/2022 between the hours of approximately 10:30 am and 11:30 am. There were 8 children present, ranging in ages from 10 months to 2 years, with 2 caregivers supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 2 child records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on record review, the provider did not ensure to obtain fingerprint-based criminal history check determination letter prior to first day of employment for one staff person. Evidence: 1) The record for Staff #3 (start date 06/20/2022) had a fingerprint-based criminal history check determination letter dated 06/22/2021.
Plan of Correction:
Moving forward, the provider shall ensure to obtain the results of the fingerprints before any new staff begin employment.
