Technical Assistance:
Consultation provided on monthly escape drills. Outside time is required for infants- weather permitting.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today with the director from 11:05 am to 1: 20 pm. Forty-eight children were present with 10 staff providing supervision. The 2's, 3's and 4 year old classrooms were outside on the playgrounds while the younger infants were napping and the toddlers were engaged in a coloring project. Four medications were inspected for three children. Additionally, five staff and children's files were reviewed.
Based on a review of five staff files and an interview with the director, it was determined that one staff did not have documentation or orientation training by the end of their first day of assuming job duties. Evidence: Staff A was hired on 5/22/19 and there was no documentation of orientation training.
Plan of Correction:
We will either find the documentation of the training or we will give the staff the orientation training.

Description:
Based on a review of four medications for three children, it was determined that there was no parental authorization for a long term medication. Evidence: Child A has Ipratropium Bromide and Albuterol Sulfate on site with a physician authorization however there was no parental authorization on file.
Plan of Correction:
We had the parent authorization but we must have discarded it. We will get a new parent authorization.
