Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 2:00 pm - 3:45 pm. There were 61 children in care being supervised by 7 staff. The children were observed resting. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of six child records and five staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. Based on review of medication it was determined that the center did not follow procedures in regards to expired medication. Evidence: The emergency medication on site for child B expired 08/2023.

Based on review of medication it was determined that not all medication was picked up within 14 days when the authorization for medication expires. Evidence: The medication authorization form for child A expired 07/21/2023. The medication was still on site.
