Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A renewal inspection was initiated and concluded on 3/5/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There was 1 child present and 2 caregiver staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 1 child?s records and 6 caregiver/household member records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on a review of children's records, it was determined that one record does not contain documentation of the annual review of the child's emergency contact information. Evidence: The record for child A has not been reviewed by the parent annually. The child's emergency contact information was last reviewed by the parent on 2/2/2019.
Plan of Correction:
I will ask the parent to review the registration form.
