8VAC20-790 Subsidy Program Vendor Requirements for Family Day Homes
Comments:
A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on June 1, 2024 from 10:02 am- 11:30 am. There were 5 children present with 2 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of caregiver record, the caregiver has not completed within the first 90 days of employment the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff. Evidence: Caregiver #2, first day of employment 11/30/2023 has not completed the Virginia Preservice Training for Child Care Staff within the first 90 days of being employed.
Plan of Correction:
The caregiver will complete the training.
