A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was initiated on January 9, 2023. There were 32 children present with five staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.

Based on review of staff records and interview, the center did not obtain documentation within the first 90 days of employment that one staff who works directly with children had completed the Virginia Preservice training for Child Care Staff.
Evidence:
The record of staff #2, did not contain documentation of completion of the Virginia preservice training. The director stated she could not find the certificate but that the staff had completed it.
