A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted March 25, 2024. There were 27 children present with five staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection. The information gathered during the inspection determined no violations with applicable standards or law. No violations were issued. Based on review of six staff records, the center did not ensure three staff completed, in addition to preservice, and orientation training, annually attend at least 16 hours of training to include the department?s health and safety update course.
Evidence: 1. The record of staff #4, employed 12/19/2021, did not contain documentation of the department?s annual health and safety update course. 2. The director stated staff #4 had completed the training however documentation could not be located during the inspection.
