Comments:
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 2/13/2024 and concluded on 2/13/2024. There were 10 children present with three staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, staffing and supervision, special care. The inspection started at 10:25 am and concluded at 10:45 am.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review and interviews, the center failed to ensure that the center did not continue to employ a person who is the subject of a founded complaint of child abuse or neglect within or outside the Commonwealth.
Evidence: Staff #1 has a founded child neglect disposition from Child Protective Services (CPS) and was working at the center on 2/13/2024. Staff #1 has been working at the center since staff #1 was notified, in person, of the founded disposition on 11/29/2023 and was sent a letter dated 12/8/2023 notifying the staff person of the founded disposition.
Plan of Correction:
Staff 1 will no longer work in the center, Staff 1 had appealed the decision. but did not hear anything back from CPS. Staff 1 was waiting for CPS to contact her which they never did

Description:
Based on observation the center failed to ensure that children's hands shall be washed with soap and running water or disposable wipes before and after eating meals or snacks. Evidence: Following snack the children did not wash their hands.
Plan of Correction:
Staff will ensure that all children's hands are washed or wiped with wipes after meals
