Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, and a virtual tour of the program.
A renewal inspection was initiated on 9/7/2021 and concluded on 9/8/2021. The provider was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 10 children present, ranging in ages from 13months to 2years, with the provider and two assistant caregivers supervising. The Inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of two children's records and four staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and one violation was documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on a review of background checks, it was determined the provider did not ensure that all adult household members shall undergo a background check in accordance with subsection B prior to issuance of a license as a family day home and every five years thereafter. Evidence: The Central Registry background search for adult household member B was most recently completed on 12/15/2015. This background search expired on 12/15/2020.
Plan of Correction:
He has already completed the new search request form and had it notarized. I will mail it today and show the results to my Inspector when received.
