Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted February 6, 2024 between the hours of 12:40 pm and 2:00 pm. There were 11 children present with two (2) caregivers supervising within the supervision guidelines. The children were observed sleeping, playing with age appropriate toys, handwashing, and being feed a bottle. Positive interactions were observed during this inspection. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, required posted documents, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programing, evacuation drill logs, menu, first aid supplies, attendance, child and caregiver records, and emergency procedures. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program. If you have any questions regarding this inspection, contact the Licensing Inspector at sheila.nelson@ doe.virginia.gov.
Thank you for your cooperation during this inspection.

Based on observation and interview, the diapering surface is not cleaned with soap and water after each use. Evidence:: 1. There is no cleaning soap available at the diapering area. 2. The provider acknowledged only using a bleach solution to sanitize the diapering surface after each diaper change.
Plan of Correction:
I will start cleaning the diapering surface with soap and water first and then sanitize with the bleach solution.
