A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted from 12:20pm-2:00pm to review supplemental health and safety requirements. There were 4 children in care, plus the Provider's 2 children, for a total of 12 points with the Provider. A sample of 5 children's records, 2 Caregiver/Household member records, evacuation drills, emergency materials, and the day care space were reviewed. The children were observed playing outside, catching butterflies, coloring, singing songs, washing hands, and playing with play-doh.
A licensing inspection was conducted on the same date as the SHSI supplemental inspection; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
