Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted on 10/22/2019 to review supplemental health and safety requirements. The inspector arrived at 12:20 PM and departed at 2:10 PM. Twenty-five children were in care. A sample size of six children's records and five staff records were reviewed. A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice.
Based upon review of records for those chidlren with diagnosed food allergies, the facility has not obtained an allergy care plan for each child with a diagnosed food allergy, to include instructions from a physician regarding the food to which the child is allergic and steps to be taken in the event of a suspected or confirmed allergic reaction; Evidence: Three of the three records provided for children with diagnosed food allergies did not include documentation fo an allergy care plan.
Plan of Correction:
The facility responded with the following: Parents of all children with diagnosed food allergies with be required to obtin an allergy care plan from the physician.
