Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using alternate protocol, due to the state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on July 24, 2020. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 5 children (16pts) present with 2 caregivers. The inspector emailed the provider list of items needed to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children's records and 2 caregiver's records to ensure documentation was complete.
The information gathered during the inspection, determined areas of non-compliance which are noted on the Violation Notice. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care Programs. If you have any questions, please contact Tanya.Johnson1@dss.virginia.gov or call 571.423.6392.
Based on a review of fire drill logs, the provider failed to practice evacuation procedures each month.
Evidence: Provider did not have documentation of fire drills for May and June 2020.
Plan of Correction:
I will write down all fire drills
