Technical Assistance:
Consultation was provided on attendance and children records and USDA guidelines.
Comments:
An unannounced mandated monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:45 am to 1:45 pm. There were 6 children (17 pts) and two staff present. Three children, three staff, and one household member records were reviewed, along with the provider's emergency supplies, drills, and required postings. The children were observed eating food, playing puzzles, listening to music, and playing freely. Bottle feeding and hand washing procedures were also observed. There was an abundance of age and developmental appropriate toys and activities for the children in care.
If you have any questions regarding this inspection, please contact Eureka Nance by email at eureka.nance@dss.virginia.gov, or by phone 703-638-5968.
Based on record review, a written record of children in attendance each day was not current.
Evidence: The most recent documented attendance was last dated for July 26, 2019.
Plan of Correction:
I will use the forms from the agency and maintain daily attendance.
