Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 10:45am-1:00pm. There were 6 children (16 points) supervised by 2 direct care staff. The home, 3 staff records, 3 children?s records, 1 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. Children were observed coloring, playing with blocks, reading books, playing dress-up, and eating lunch. Handwashing procedures were also observed. Lunch served was chicken meatballs, carrots and peas, applesauce, bread, and milk. There was a sufficient amount of books, toys, and materials, which were found to be developmentally appropriate for the children in care at the time of inspection. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice.

Description: Based on record review, 1 of 2 caregivers did not caregivers did not obtain 16 clock hours of training annually.

Evidence: Caregiver B's (date of hire: 5/15/2017) record contained documentation of a total of 9.5 hours of training for 2019.

Plan of Correction: For the current year, we will make sure all caregivers complete 16 hours of training.
