Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 7:15am to 8:15am with program staff. There were eight children in care, ranging from five to nine years of age, supervised by two staff. The children were observed playing a fitness game, washing hands, talking about what they are looking forward to over the Thanksgiving holiday, and playing hangman. Five children?s records were reviewed and were in compliance. Staff records will be reviewed off site at a later time. Today a review of required on-site documentation was conducted for staff certified in CPR, First Aid, and Daily Health Observation and the program was in compliance. Two medications and authorization forms were reviewed and the center has one staff with current certification in Medication Administration Training (MAT). The attendance and emergency drill log were reviewed and were in compliance. The last documented evacuation drill was dated 11/13/19 and the last documented shelter-in-place drill was documented 11/1/19. The first aid kit, flashlight, and battery operated radio were observed. Based on observation and staff interview, a working battery operated radio was not on site. Evidence: During the inspection the radio was not working due to not having enough batteries.

We will get more batteries.
