Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews and a virtual tour of the program.
A monitoring inspection was conducted on January 24, 2022. There were 29 children present and in the care of 2 staff. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staff qualifications, staffing and supervision, physical plant, programming, special services, special care provisions and emergencies. A total of 3 children's records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliances with applicable standards or law and the violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on observation and review of medication and medication paperwork, the center failed to maintain a prescription medication in the original container with the prescription label attached.
Evidence: 1. The prescription medication for Child A was not in the original labeled container showing the medication was dispensed fo Child A from the pharmacy. 2. Staff Member #1 confirmed the emergency medication was not in the box with the prescription label attached.
Plan of Correction:
The staff will speak to the parent of the child and make sure to obtain the prescription box for the medication.
