Technical Assistance:
Children should be checked into the attendance log upon arrival to maintain accurate account of children in the classroom.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 9:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m. There were 112 children in care being supervised by 18 staff members. The children were observed participating in structured center play, circle time activities, and outdoor play. Lunch is provided from home. Ten children's records were reviewed and in compliance. Eight staff records were reviewed and in compliance. Fourteen medications were reviewed. The most recent emergency escape drill was conducted 08/16/2019 and the most recent shelter in place drill was conducted 03/06/2019. Based on review of 14 medications it was determined that not all medication was returned to parents within 14 days after the authorization form was expired. Evidence: The medication for child A had not been returned to the parents within 14 days after expiration date of the ten day authorization form dated 03/08/2019.
Plan of Correction:
The medication will be returned to the parent of child A or a new authorization form will be filled out.
