Technical Assistance:
Technical Assistance was offered regarding trainings, equipment used for children.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted from 11:35 am to 12:50 pm. There were 2 children (8 points) in care and supervision of 1 caregiver. The children were observed being fed, and put down for nap in cribs. 2 children's records and 1 caregiver record was reviewed. Emergency drill records were current and there were no medications on site. Areas of non compliance are listed in the violations notice. Based on observation, the family day home was using recalled equipment for children in care. Evidence: Child # 1 was observed being seated in a recalled bumbo seat after being fed. The bumbo seat did not have the required safety straps.
Plan of Correction:
The bumbo seat will not be used anymore.
