An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 8:55am to 10:30am with the provider and one assistant. There were nine children in care, ranging from nine months to four years of age, for a total of 17 points. Children were observed eating breakfast, washing hands, having circle time, singing songs, doing worksheets, and having free play. Five children?s records, two staff records, and two household members? records were reviewed and were in compliance. The provider and assistant have current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not administer medication and is aware that she must have Medication Administration Training (MAT) certification in order to do so. Breakfast today was sausage, toast, blackberries, and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, and weather band radio were observed and were in compliance. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed and were in compliance. The most recent evacuation drill was documented 2/4/20 and the most recent shelter-in-place was documented 12/18/19. A home walk-thru was conducted with the provider.
