Comments:
A Subsidy Health and Safety inspection was conducted today from 6:30am through 9:15am to review supplemental health and safety requirements. A total of 43 children were present with 3 caregivers. The children were engaged in the following: playing games in the gym, reading books, playing blocks, engaging in tabletop activities, eating morning snack, and leaving for school. Programming, menus, emergency procedures, 2 medications, and 9 children?s records and 3 staff records were reviewed.
A licensing inspection was also conducted this date; the two inspections combined cover all subsidy health and safety requirements. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards are reviewed during this supplemental inspection. Violations were found during the supplemental subsidy health and safety inspection requirements and are identified on the violation notice. Please contact me at morgan.bryson1@dss.virginia.gov with any questions.
Based on staff interview and review of the emergency drill log, lockdown procedures have not been practiced at least annually.
Evidence: 1. A lockdown drill has not been completed within the last year.
Plan of Correction:
