Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today. There were 7 children present (20points) with 1 caregiver at LI arrival. Children were observed finishing lunch, washing hands, playing with a variety of age appropriate toys. Emergency evacuation drills, fridge/freezer temperatures, first aid/CPR certifications, first aid kit supplies, emergency supplies, CO2 monitor, and updated emergency evacuation plan were all in compliance today. 7 child and 2 caregiver records were reviewed. Description:
Based on observation, crib mattresses were not covered with a waterproof material that could be cleaned and sanitized. Evidence: 2 of 6 crib mattresses were not covered with a waterproof material. Mattress #1 (blue striped mattress) was covered with a cloth surface. Mattress #2 had a large rip in the plastic covering, making it no longer waterproof or able to be cleaned and sanitized.
