Technical Assistance:
1. Discussed health and safety precautions and practices due to COVID-19 that the provider intends to add to existing policies/practices. 2. Reviewed options for renewing First Aid/CPR. 3. The inspector sent the provider the following information: CARES Act Grant application, and VDH COVID-19 information graphic.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time.
A renewal inspection was completed on 5/19/20, The provider was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection. There were no children or staff present, as the daycare closed due to the health pandemic in late March 2020. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection, and from that information submitted by the provider, the inspector reviewed 2 child records, 1 household member record, and 2 caregiver records to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined one area of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws, which has been documented on the violation notice issued to the provider. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@dss.virginia.gov

Plan of Correction:
The inspector will provide information about how to complete the check, and the provider will submit the check within 30-days from when Assistant #2 returns to work.
