Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted at 10:20am. Observed 5 children totaling 18 points with 3 caregivers. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. Children were observed playing with toys and learning letters of the alphabet and associated items. The caregivers were promptly tending to the needs of the children. The daycare areas of the home were found to be clean and sufficiently supplied with toys and equipment for the children. Areas of non-compliance with standards and laws reviewed were found. Based on records reviewed, 1 of 3 caregivers did not have a completed out-of-state background check within the first 30-days of employment. Evidence: Caregiver #3 began employment in February 2024 and to-date does not have a required out-of-state child abuse and neglect search completed.
Plan of Correction:
The out-of-state background check was sent on 4/13/24 and results have not yet been received by the provider. In the future, the background checks will be submitted at the time of employment to ensure they are completed within first 30-days of employment.

Description:
Based on records reviewed, monthly emergency evacuation drills were not completed. Evidence: There were no emergency evacuation drills completed for March + April 2024. The last recorded drill was 2/8/24.

The provider said she will practice emergency drills with the children every month.

Description:
Repeat Violation. Based on records reviewed, 1 of 7 children's recordsdid not include required documents signed by the parents. Evidence: The record for Child #6 did not include a childcare agreement signed by the parents.
Plan of Correction:
The parents will be asked to sign the enrollment agreement. In the future, the provider will review enrollment paperwork for completion.
