Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A renewal inspection initiated on May 17, 2021 and concluded on May 18, 2021. The provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were three children and one staff. The inspector emailed the provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The inspector reviewed two children?s records and two caregiver records submitted by the family day home to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility. The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs.
Based on record review, in two of two household records reviewed, the provider did ot ensure that each caregiver and adult household member a current Report of Tuberculosis Screening form every two years from the date of the first screening.
Evidence: The TB screenings for the provider (#1) and one household member (#2) were more than two years old and were dated 03/01/2019.
Plan of Correction:
We are waiting on the results and they will be read tomorrow by 1:00pm and the results will be forwarded to the licensing inspector.
