Comments:
This inspection was conducted by staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. An on-site inspection of the home was not conducted at this time however, a portion of the inspection included a virtual component which allowed the inspector to observe the daycare areas of the home.
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted at 11:25am. The provider was contacted by phone to initiate the inspection, and given a list of items required to complete the inspection. There were 11 children present = 32 points with the provider and 2 assistant caregivers. Ratios and supervision were in compliance. The daycare was well supplied with toys and equipment for children. Information gathered during the inspection determined there was an area of non-compliance with applicable standards or laws reviewed. Questions about this inspection may be directed to pamela.sneed@dss.virginia.gov
Based on records reviewed, it was determined that 1 of 2 children's records did not include required information.
Evidence:
1. Child #12 - The name, address, and phone number for 1 of 2 emergency contact persons was left blank.
2. Child #14 - There was no documentation of the medical insurance policy number.
