Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, including telephone contacts, documents review, interviews (if applicable) and a virtual tour of the program (if applicable).
A renewal inspection was initiated on July 19, 2021 and concluded on July 23, 2021. The director was contacted by telephone and a virtual inspection was conducted. There were 98 children present, ranging in ages from 3 weeks to 12 years of age, with 12 staff supervising. The inspector reviewed compliance in the areas of administration, physical plant, staffing and supervision, programming, medication, special care and emergencies and nutrition. A total of 5 child records and 5 staff records were reviewed. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on review of five staff records, one does not contain the required documentation. Evidence The record for staff #1 does not contain documentation of an eligible fingerprint before first day of employment.
Plan of Correction:
We will follow up with OBI to determine where the documentation is. In the future we will ensure documentation is received before the first day of employment.
