Technical Assistance:
Provider will update the evacuation location on the Provisions of the Emergency Plan document for parents to review and sign.
Comments:
An unannounced monitoring inspection was conducted today from 9:50am-10:50am. There were 3 children directly supervised by the provider. The home, 1 caregiver records, 4 children?s records, 3 household member?s records, evacuation drills, emergency supplies, and policies were inspected. There were no medications on site today. Children were observed playing freely and eating a breakfast of cereal, pears and milk. There was an assortment of age appropriate materials for children. Areas of non-compliance are identified in the Violation Notice. Based on record review, evacuation drills were not practiced monthly. Evidence: There was no documentation of evacuation drills being conducted in October 2023, or January 2024.

I will conduct regular drill and keep documentation on a regular basis going forward.

Description:
Based on record review, the provider failed to keep an accurate written record of children in attendance each day. Evidence: Three children were in attendance on the date of inspection, the electronic attendance showed six children present as the default setting for the day.

As the children arrive I will record their attendance.

Description:
Based on record review, children's records did not contain all required information. Evidence: Child 1 and Child 3's record did not contain documentation that the parent's have reviewed the information within the previous twelve months.

The parents have revied the information and signed.

Description:
Based on record review, children's records did not contain documentation that parents have been provided in writing all required information. Evidence: Child 1 and 3's record did not contain documentation that parents have been informed of the provider's emergency plan.
Plan of Correction:
On February 8th the location of the emergency evacuation was being updated. All parents have been told and are signing today.
