Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia. A monitoring inspection was initiated on December 10, 2020 and concluded on December 15, 2020. The center owner was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 19 children present and 3 staff. The inspector emailed the center owner a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed 2 children?s records and 2 staff records submitted by the facility to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. The providers responses for the ?Description of Action To Be Taken? were not received as of December 22, 2020 and will not appear on this ?Violation Notice?.
Based on documentation review and interviews with center owner, the licnesee did not ensure to have a qualified program director or a qualified back-up program director who meets one of the director qualifications.
Evidence: The program is currently operating on this date without a qualified program director.
