Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternative remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated on 05/29/2020 and concluded on 06/98/2020. The program director was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were 23 children and 6 staff members present during the inspection. The inspector reviewed 3 children's records and 3 staff records during the inspection to ensure documentation was complete. Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance(s) with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the facility.
Based on discussion with staff, the facility failed to ensure that when centers choose to provide meals or snacks, a menu listing foods to be served for meals and snacks during the current one-week period shall be posted in a location conspicuous to parents or given to parents.
Evidence: The posted menu was dated June 1-5; there was not a menu posted for the current one-week period.
Plan of Correction:
A menu will be obtained and posted.
