Technical Assistance:
Inspector spoke with provider about safe sleep and physician's orders for children in care during this inspection.
Comments:
An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted on 8/28/2023. At the time of entrance, 2 children were in care with the provider. The record sample size consisted of 2 children's records and the provider's record and the household member's records. The children in care were observed engaging with the provider and participating in free play. There have been no injuries since the last inspection and no medications are being administered at this time. Areas of noncompliance are noted in the violation narrative and were discussed with the provider during the exit meeting at the conclusion of the inspection.
Based on observation and interview it was determined the provider did not ensure they met all the requirements of the health and safety checklist. Evidence: 1. Monthly evacuation drills were not practiced since 2020. 2. The record for child #2 did not contain information for parents and medication policy. 3. Provider confirmed these items were not available during this inspection.
Plan of Correction:
Provider will ensure monthly drills are practiced and documented. Provider will request documentation from parents.
