Technical Assistance:
The Licensing Inspector has reviewed with the Provider COVID-19 Essential Guidance for Child Care programs. Further discussions included upcoming TB documentation that will expire in November 2021, and upcoming background checks and TB documentation that will be needed by November 2021 for a household member who will become 18 years of age.
Comments:
This inspection was conducted by licensing staff using an alternate remote protocol, necessary due to a state of emergency health pandemic declared by the Governor of Virginia.
A monitoring inspection was initiated and concluded on 05/20/2021. The Provider was contacted by telephone to initiate the inspection. There were (2) children present, a total of (7) points, with (1) caregiver. The inspector emailed the Provider a list of items required to complete the inspection. The Inspector reviewed (2) children?s records, (1) staff record, and (7) household member records submitted by the family day home (FDH) to ensure documentation was complete.
Information gathered during the inspection determined that (1) non-compliance with applicable standard was documented on a Violation Notice issued to the FDH.

Based on review, 2 of 7 household member's records indicated that the Provider did not obtain for each adult household member a current Report of Tuberculosis (TB) Screening form (in accordance with the requirements in 22 VAC 40-111-170), every two years.
Evidence - 1. On the date of inspection (05/20/2021), the most current TB documentation on file for Household Member #3 was dated - 02/04/2019. 2. The most current TB documentation on file for Household Member #6 was dated - 11/30/2018.
Plan of Correction:
Updated TB documentation shall be obtained for these two household members.
