A subsidy health and safety (SHSI) inspection was conducted on 12/19/2023 from 10:30am until 12:10pm. There were 15 children present with 4 staff supervising. A licensing inspection was also conducted on this date. Both inspections combined cover subsidy health and safety regulations. Only subsidy requirements that are not covered in licensing standards were reviewed during this supplemental inspection.
Information gathered during the inspection determined non-compliance with applicable standards or law and violations were documented on the violation notice issued to the program.
Based on record review the center failed to have one staff member complete the department?s annual update health and safety course.
Evidence: 1. The record for staff #1 did not have documentation that the required annual 3-hour health and safety update course was completed. Last documented course was dated 07/12/2019. 2. The record for staff #2, did not have documentation that the required annual 3-hour health and safety update course was completed. Last documented course was dated 2/28/2022. 3. The director confirmed the annual 3-hour update had not been taken.
