An unannounced renewal inspection was conducted today from 12:15pm to 2:00pm with the provider. There were three children in care, ranging from 19 months to four years of age, for a total of eight points. Children were observed having lunch, reading books, being changed and using the rest room, and laying down for nap. Three children?s records, the provider's record, and four household members? records were reviewed and were in compliance. The provider has current certification in CPR and First Aid. The provider does not administer medication and is aware that she must be certified in Medication Administration Training (MAT) in order to do so. Lunch today was chicken, rice, green beans, carrots, corn, and milk. The first aid kit, flashlight, weather band radio, and fire extinguisher were observed and were in compliance. The emergency drill log, attendance, and menu were also reviewed and were in compliance. The most recent evacuation drill was documented on 1/13/20 and the most recent shelter-in-place drill was documented on 12/9/19. The Licensing Inspector performed a walk thru of the family day home with the provider.
